Dominic studied for his law degree in Manchester. After qualifying, he began to specialise in personal injury claims that required forensic investigation, often involving events that happened many years ago.
A founding Director of the firm, he is now a recognised expert in injuries at work, fatal and serious personal injury claims, road traffic crash claims and industrial disease claims, including asbestos related diseases. His extensive experience includes claims against the Ministry of Defence for noise induced hearing loss and cases involving sporting and extreme activities, such as fitness training, abseiling and mountain rescue training.
Dominic is a panel member of the Greater Manchester Asbestos Victims Support Group and his in-depth knowledge and interest in industrial disease and asbestos related injuries in particular has led to frequent participation in lectures and seminars on this subject.
Dominic has recently settled asbestos related mesothelioma cases against United Utilities and Cape plc for £135,000 and £225,000. Settlements also include £25,000 against the Manchester Ship Canal Company for a former docker who has developed asbestos related pleural thickening as a result of unloading cargeos of asbestos from ships at Salford Docks. The main docks number 8 and number 9, where asbestos was unloaded, can be seen right next to the new home of the BBC and Media City at Salford Quays. It is hard to believe that this area was once of the busiest docks in the country.
Dominic has also just settled a Communications Worker Union member’s hearing tone and amp hearing loss case for £12,000 within less than a month of the trial fixed in mid May.
In the North West, Dominic works with the Communication Workers Union and has assisted RoadPeace North West since its inception, participating in associated campaigns for road safety and road safety awareness.
