However complicated or difficult a case, Frank Patterson is well known for not giving up and he has been praised for sticking to his guns and ‘ferreting out the truth’.
Frank heads the clinical negligence team at MPH and has a formidable reputation; named as the only Claimant Clinical Negligence Lawyer in the Leading Individuals List in the Legal 500 in 2008.
He and his team specialise in complex, high value litigation cases arising from all areas of medical treatment including catastrophic spinal and brain injuries, birth injuries and cancer misdiagnosis cases.
His dedication and expertise in this area has led to him being invited to lecture at legal conferences on subjects including disease cases, damages for bereaved families after a fatal accident or illness and on complex legal principles of medical and legal causation. He has also co-authored a number of publications including ‘Know How for Personal Injury Lawyers and Conditional Fees’, published by Longmans, and ‘Personal Injury Precedents and Pleadings’, published by Sweet and Maxwell.
Frank has a wealth of experience in co-ordinating large multi-party personal injury actions arising both here and abroad. He acts on behalf of one of the country’s largest trade unions, The Communication Workers Union (CWU), and is a member of the Law Society’s Clinical Negligence Specialist Panel.
